Which finish is right for you.
GLOSS finish- Has the look and feel of a lacquered fingerboard which is typically found on most Fender guitars with maple fingerboards.
- Enhances the colors of the neck illusions artwork giving it a more vibrant and richer look.
- For a more realistic look, we do NOT recommend the GLOSS finish on designs that use the ebony or rosewood background.
- Can be wiped clean using a micro-fiber cleaning cloth.
- Increases the life-span of the neck illusions by providing an additional layer of protection.
LUSTER finish
- Like our MATTE finish, this has the feel of a smooth natural wood surface like what is typically found on unfinished ebony and rosewood fingerboards.
- Has a slight glare under direct lighting and looks like a freshly oiled fingerboard.
- Can be wiped clean using a micro-fiber cleaning cloth.
- Increases the life-span of the neck illusions by providing an additional layer of protection.
MATTE finish
- Has the feel of a smooth natural wood surface like what is typically found on unfinished ebony and rosewood fingerboards.
- Will NOT produce glare from strong light sources. If your neck illusions is going to be used for photo shoots, videos or stage performances, we recommend choosing the MATTE finish due to the absence of lighting glare and reflections that can be an issue under strong lighting situations.
