Seth Morrision
Seth Morrison is a guitarist and producer from Eastern Kentucky.
Picking guitar up when he was 14, inspired by the vintage rock sounds he heard from the radio, it was an instant love. Seth started playing shows in his hometown of Eastern Kentucky with the “Kentucky Opry Jr Pros” band when he was 15. A combination between Seth’s newfound love and his position as a guitarist in a stage band accelerated his knowledge In music, and only inspired him more to continue playing
At the age of 18, Seth has released music with his project “almost beige”, a dreamy, psychedelic, indie project which features ambient slide guitar and intense guitar solos accompanied by emotional vocals. He’s also published many videos showcasing his diverse playing, incorporating 8 string guitar and progressive guitar techniques over ambient, dreamy ballads.
Seth’s inspirations on the guitar are endless, studying many different players and incorporating them into his own style. From Allan Holdsworth, to John Mayer, Steve Vai, Tosin Abasi, Frank Zappa, Chet Atkins, while remaining anchored by the smooth techniques of Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan. His musical influence remains an open book, and not confined to the guitar, Seth is very inspired by alternative artists like Beach House, Mac Demarco, Tame Impala, and Slowdive.
Seth now spends most of his time writing, composing, and practicing to keep inspired. His band “almost beige” released their most recent single “blonde dream” on July 26th, a powerful, yet ambient song with fast guitar leads and solos.
